That was kind of amazing what just happened.  I'm listening to the Sibelius fifth, the final movement begins, which has one of my favorite moments in all music and that moment, which I love in the version I'm playing, occurred exactly at midnight - it swelled right into that moment and it was magical.

And I had a tiny bit of a tiny solo bundt cake thing left that someone brought me earlier, and after my sip of champagne I thought it would be a nice thing if I had something sweet before bed to start the year off with sweetness.

Listening to the Von Karajan Sibelius fifth - I like the earlier one a bit better (Alexander Gibson), but this is quite nice, too.
