TCB, thanks for your explanation last night. When people I know tell me about their surgeries and such, especially when there wasn't much discomfort, it gives courage to this scaredycat. It helps to know someone who's been through it. And I'm pleased that you had minimal discomfort.

Right now, I'm wearing a new J. Crew cardigan I bought after Christmas. It's outrageously warm, probably only good for a few days a year here.

After weeks of ferreting out my East Coast clothes from the depths of my closets--wool sweaters, Polartec pullovers, warm socks, boots, scarves--it is now 75 degrees. WHAT? I know many of you would love that right now, but the weather roller-coaster is a bit difficult of the old bod.

Speaking of the roller-coaster, I see that Texas has had quite a ride weatherwise. John G, do you get temps in the 30s very often?

No. I moved south to avoid this cold nonsense as much as possible. I really dislike it.

But you now have a lovely new jacket.

Some people say there's no such thing as bad weather--only bad clothes. I can't say I agree, but having the right clothes and gear does make a big difference.

Had eggs benedict at Four and Twenty Pies - couldn't get into Jerry's - thank goodness these horrid people who only go there during holiday periods (because kids are not back in school until tomorrow, this entire time has been one) will be gone and Jerry's will be back to normal, meaning very few people at the times I enjoy going there.

I Xeroxed pages and then brought them to Muse Margaret who will now read them.  Hopeful that she will enjoy them - I should hear at some point this evening.

Happy to say that I'm much better today. Admittedly, a bit weak, but much better. I'm even doing the load of laundry that I wasn't able to do yesterday.

Excellent news DR Jeanne!

VIBES YOU CONTINUE TO IMPROVE WITHOUT ANYMORE SETBACKS!!!!

I woke up for church this morning knowing that the driveway would need to be cleared again as we had about 4 inches ore since. I had last cleared it

Extreme temperature changes aren't great, something in-between would have been better.  Still, I would rather have 75 degrees than our current cold temps.

I was surprised how cold it does get there.

Growing up I always got sick when we went to the mountains to play in the snow.  After moving to the East Coast I finally learned how to dress for the weather.

I had both cars cleared off and the pathway and about a third of the driveway done when he appeared in the scene ordered me back in the house while he finished the driveway

After the service the associate Pastor's husband and I started "degreening" the narthex while the Misa service was going on in the sanctuary

Then after Misa was finished a handful of other parishioners joined us in degreening the rest of the church
