And now, I'm leaving work and getting some food.

Be back later.

Does anyone plan to read In the Great Green Room about the woman who wrote Goodnight, Moon?

I wasn't but I might now.  Why do you ask?

Just curious about the book.

If you read it please let us know what you think.  It will be awhile before I read it since my library doesn't have it.

I'm 325 pages into the latest Proust. It'll take a little while to get out of that. Maybe they'll have it on audio by then.

Very strange two days of dancing. I want to help my teacher, Joy, get her certification, so she needs someone that she can lead as well as follow in the same routine. So, for the last two days, I've been learning the follower's part (formerly known as the lady's part). I've learned it faster than I've learned the leader's part in both waltz and foxtrot.

Watching The Wrong Man. Some great visuals, wonderful Henry Fonda (absolutely perfect for the role), great Bernard Herrmann music. Sadly, it's kinda like Torn Curtain. Despite a great story, the dialogue is flat, which I think makes the whole less than the sum of its prodigious parts.

BY the way, there's a short scene of Fonda in the band at the Stork Club at the beginning. He plays bass. And Fonda really looks like he's playing the bass. Does anybody know if that was one of his skills?

I actually finished eleven pages by five-thirty so that was nice.  I watched the Carrie/Debbie documentary that just aired on HBO - someone made me a copy.  It was very good.  Then I got the Facebook event page up for our show, now I'm listening to music and trying to understand how it's ten o'clock already, and shortly I will take a hot shower and if anything fun pops into my head, who knows, I might just write a page or two more.

Well, poop...which is poop spelled backward.  Yesterday, my car started making a kind of noise that I hadn't heard before and today it sounded worse.  It sounds like a relly rough diesel engine.  At lunch this afternoon, I stopped at the auto shop where I've taken my car before and was able to get an appointment for tomorrow morning at 8 am.

Of course, I am NOT a morning person, but I really don't want to drive it again until it's looked at.  I hope there won't be any trouble when I drive it to the shop.  It's only about a mile from where I live, so it's close.  HOPEFULLY, it won't be extremely expensive. :-\ As for my lunch, a couple of restaurants are close enough that I can walk to them from where I work.

Talk about a boring hack, finding out what people read ;D

Not if the person is checking out "The Anarchist's Cookbook" and other similar topics. ::)

You do know we are supposed to have up to 3 inches of snow coming in early tomorrow morning?

This snow storm is apparently being sent by DR Jane, since it is rolling in from the south.

I'd seen that there was going to be snow, but not how much. :P

It's raining right now.  Maybe the reports will be wrong about tomorrow's snow.

It could happen.
