To answer George's question of late last night re the sheet music to The Whimsey Works being for sale - I know he just printed up a number of copies for his own use - I may ask him at some point if he'd let us sell a few.

It would be great!  And speaking of sheet music, are you still working on a BK songbook?

Topic of the Day:  I'd never heard of broasted chicked before it was mentioned here on HHW.  I've never had it, so I can't comment on the topic of the day.

TOD:

I used to love fried chicken, but now I only eat broasted.  It's healthier and, at my age, I can use all the "healthier" I can get.

Last night was my first night of sleep in four months without the aid of Aleve PM. Lotta strange dreams, though all I remember is something about that lousy revival of Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well.  A Drama Book Shop friend I haven't seen in over twenty years wasalso in the dream.

Which revival, DR Elmore?  Or has there been only one?  I saw it in -- I think it was late 1992, in the Village.

A perfectly roasted chicken is as perfect as a meal can get.

Don't know broasted.

Having looked at Vixmom's link, I'll stick to roasted, then fried.

For chain food, I like Popeyes, which has a ridiculously cheap special on Tuesdays. It used to be two pieces of dark meat and a biscuit for 99 cents. I think is now $1.19.

The dreadful 2006 revival, which missed much of the point of the original show.

The new neighbor above me, who caused the bathroom flood rwo weeks ago, has a penchant for hammering at 8:30 in the morning.  This is completely unacceptable on a Saturday morning.
