I slept in, although the alarm rang at 7:30. The familial news from Ohio was truly a blow last night. It's a hard blow to find your security blanket has no longer much value and that my dad's foolish good intentions were destroyed by an asshole in the family.
I remember Macbeth in late 2006 pushing my dad not to accept an offer of $600,000 for the land, which was going at high rates around the new hospital. Macbeth and Randy both pushed him to hold for a million dollars, and he pulled out of the sale.
In 2007. after his death, we were offered $675,000 for the property, I wanted to sell, but the 2/3 vote held out. I wonder now how much was the Macbeths' greed and how much was my brother's decision to screw me for being dad's executor and not he, probably a combination of both. Randy, since he had to work with Macbeth daily, let him call the shots.
Sadly, both of them gambled on the value of the property and lost. I will work through this with Randy, but I will never forgive the Macbeths.
