I am excited to see the cover.

I enjoyed the covers posted by DR JOHN G yesterday, particularly the first one.....She Tried To Be Good.....

His story about his school reminds me of the story my birthday twin and former DR JOSE posted.....when he was in the second or third grade, he asked his parents to let him take the FLOWER DRUM SONG soundtrack to school.  For show and tell he acted out the song "I Enjoy Being a Girl" just like Nancy Kwan did it in the movie.....the nuns were appalled and he was forbidden to bring any more records to school.....

Love it.

The offers dribble in.  My next couple of keyboard gigs are La Cage aux Folles (the "new" version) and The Little Mermaid (the whatever-the-hell-it-is version).

I love coffee shops, but not for the coffee, which is usually worse than drinking the used dish water.

I love the club sandwich, the burgers, the breakfast food. I go to a local chain called Jim's, which has some locations open 24 hours a day. My favorite lately is a chef's salad, which is always fresh and not fussy but really satisfying. Also, the fried okra with a slathering of Tabasco sauce makes me very happy.

We're in the big annual meeting, waiting for word on whether there's going to be a bonus.

It's 16.8%. Excellent when you consider the year we had.

I love coffee shops that sell excellent coffee.

Locally, we have Peet's franchise stores, but they all have excellent java!!!

LOVE MY COFFEE, I do.

When Bruce asks "What are your all-time favorite coffee shops?" my first response is Ships, not because it was a favorite but because it was a coffee shop I enjoyed well enough as a child.

Obviously DR George immediately thought of today's coffee houses which I don't believe existed prior to the Starbuck's phenomenon. He responded "Topic of the Day:  not a coffee drinker, so I don't have a favorite coffee shop.  Sorry."

When I google coffee house all I see are the modern day coffee shops and not the ones of old.

Starbucks is not a coffee shop in any way, shape, or form.  Coffee shop has a very specific meaning.  Ships, yes.  Coral Cafe, Du-Par's, Lancer's, Tallyrand, Gaby's, Stat's, Googie's, Lyttles, yes.  Coffee Bean, no.  Starbucks, no.  A coffee shop will always have complete breakfasts, sandwiches and burgers, usually pies, and hot dishes.

DR George and DR TCB, TripAdviser refers to the Spruce Goose Cafe in Townsend, WA as “The '50's Coffee Shop Reinvented”.  Have either of you eaten there?

Sadly, try googling coffee shop without including a name.

I never thought of Stat's as a coffee shop.  If you say so, then it is my favorite coffee shop by far.

The omens were wrong. The day turned out quite well.  Joshie and I had a good work session, I got my wish on the orchestra situation, and I am home.  It's snowy and a bit sloshy outside, but I am home, and happy to be here.
