Well, you've read the notes, the notes were without too many stumbles, and now it is time for you to post until the stumbling cows come home.

I must, for instance, make a mermaid recording for a choreographer.  (An Under the Sea playoff, nothing too extensive today.)

And then I'm off to Shop Rite and Petco and Costco for a few necessities, including gassing up the car.

Tonight, movie night at the friend's home theater.  I believe we're watching The Mad Magician in 3D and probably just sampling a few other things.

Last night I accompanied a friend to see M. Night Shyamalan's Split.  I hadn't seen a film of his in a theater since Signs and The Sixth Sense, and I hadn't even been to the local Bijou in months, so it was nice to get back out for a movie.

The movie was good, and suspenseful, until just as things were beginning to come to a head near the end when he did something that I know "works" for a lot of people, but just doesn't for me, because in this case (again, for me), it breaks a certain ground rule.  It wasn't his customary "twist", and indeed there is no twist, which is nice.  There are also zero --count 'em-- jump scares, which I have to give as a compliment.

Regardless of my li'l complaint, it's one of his better films and the presence of Betty Buckley throughout is wonderful.  I also enjoyed a delightful repast of chicken fingers and fries, and I vow to get back to the movies now and then.  That absence was too long.

A City Center day.  Before I arrive, I must stop at my pharmacy for February's meds.

I've listened to the Backbeard songs, read the libretto and the two children's books it's based on, and it's very silly fun.  I haven't decided on what to add to the piano, bass and drums.  My first instinct was accordion and banjo, but I'm also think about a violin or reed player.  I need a discussion with the composer.

The Benadryl did its job of knocking me out. But the sleep was poor and I'm working from home until I can get more fully alert and together.
