Yes, I think if the Wilder improvements were part of the play WFTP, it would be produced more.....same thing with DESK SET which was tailored for Tracy & Hepburn and much improved over the stage version.

I'm on a kick for American horror stories from the mid-20th century. I've got some Robert Bloch, Richard Matheson, Charles Beaumont, and Robert E. Howard to give me sleepless night. Robert Howard's "Pigeons from Hell" really creeps me out.

For a change, this one looks like it won't be a programming nightmare. Lots of accordion, harp, piano, much of it in long passages, and some splits and layers that will be a piece of cake to set up. Just what the doctor called for this particular month.

Yeah, heard about that last night.

I can understand it, for all the infuriating immature, trolling, obscene, etc., posts that have been so rampant there. But it's also a shame to lose the productive discussions that miraculously occurred in many of the threads.

On the other hand, they had unceremoniously dumped much of that anyway. I forget what the movie was, but I remember several years ago some people being very reasonably upset about the clearing out of old posts because some knowledgeable and helpful people, some of them industry insiders, had built up such a store of irreplaceable information -- which IMDb didn't care a whit about, as anything beyond a certain date was being nuked. So, a double edged sword.

Going out with friends in a bit to see RINGS (my second movie in one week!) -- which I'd like to like, but I'm betting it's going to be an all too predictable noisy jump-scare-y CGI-fest. But, whatever. Even if that's the case, I can reasonably enjoy it one time.
