I wonder how George's toilet seat tour went this evening?

Well...my dad and Larry (my sister's boyfriend) and I all went to Costco to get the toilets.  When we left after my dad paid, we asked for help loading them into Larry's car and the two Costco "helpers" dropped one of boxes! :o They opened up the box and didn't see any damage, so we left with those boxes.

HOWEVER, when we got back to my parents' house, we looked deeper in the one box and the tank WAS broken!  So, back to Costco we went. We were able to exchange the damaged box and did NOT get help putting it back into Larry's car, and we left again.  So now, it's all good.

We then had dinner (chicken nuggets that my mom made with real chicken(!) and mashed potatoes), then we played Phase 10.  I lost big time.

Yes, my mom wanted to replace both of the old toilets that they have.  These have a half-flush button to save water.

I went to acupuncture today. Parking on the street isn't usually difficult, but today there was nothing. I drove a couple blocks to an area Erik had told me about and found a space. But when I came back after treatment no car. It was that eerie feeling you get when you THOUGHT you parked your car there, but it's not there. Oh, dear. I walked back to the acupuncture office to get out of the rain, then started making phone calls. Yes, the car was towed. Apparently, I'd parked partly in someone's driveway, which of course I'd never do intentionally. I had no idea it was a driveway--probably because I as so glad to finally find a space. There were lots of trees and what I thought was a fence. Apparently, it was a movable fence.

I took a cab to the impound lot, paid an exorbitant fee, and now have my car back. Inside the car was a ticket, quite sodden, in addition to the impound fees. Ugh! About $350 total. So much for saving money.

Oh, no!  That's terrible!
