I ate up the rest of the tuna pasta salad, and also I'd gotten some of that pretty low-cal Thrifty Ice Cream stuff I like, so I've been doing some of that, too.

Listening to a highly praised performance of the Mahler 6th by Thomas Sanderling - the CD is impossible to find at any price, but thankfully I get to stream it for free on Amazon.  The joy of Prime.

But this is music that cries out for a nice dish of ice cream, don't you think?

Just finishing up listening to the second disc of LA Now and Then. It is certainly one of my favorite cast recordings from last year.  Best part is that I seem to prefer different songs each time I listen to it.

Tonight, the ones that stood out were Sunset Strip 1965 and The Black Dahlia with special mention going to the band having fun on the exit music.

And thank you, Jane. I just finished one part of the foot work. Now I just have to rewrite it a couple of times to get it pared down.

This Sanderling is a very nice performance - can't say if it's my favorite - have to listen to a few others, but I do like it better than the Bernstein, but maybe not as much as the Barbirolli.  There's nice clarity and a few details that I haven't heard in other performances.

But what a symphony.  If you have Amazon Prime go listen to it.  Just search Mahler Symphony 6 Thomas Sanderling - I love that part of Prime.

Somebody just shared with me a copy of Bonanza Bound, a Comden and Green show that closed out of town. I need to get some sleep, but how can I resist Comden and Green I've never heard before?

I'm up late.  Tried to watch SNL but I fell asleep for part of it, so I had to catch the Sean Spicer opening on YouTube.
