No snow cleanup + no dentist = a good day.

I intend to enjoy this one to the hilt.

Yesterday I said that this was a day for a piece of Mahler's.  But it is Mr. McGlinn's day.  I've decided on Kiss Me, Kate.

In the weird Inner Webs department, I received a message on Book Face [nothing like MR BK's message] asking me if I would help with a documentary about Allison Hayes....I replied I will do what I can.

The author said he would get with his producer and send me some details.  After a bit of looking around the WEBS, I find out that this man's main claim to fame is he GONZO reporting and a book he wrote about Linda Lovelace.

I am afraid, I may not want to participate in his "documentary" - we shall see.

Over my second cup of coffee I watched the Jake Gyllenhaal "Finishing the Hat" video -- and saw, to my great delight, Susan Jolles on harp.

Valentine's Day greetings!  Richard got a fresh batch of homemade heart-shaped shortbread cookies, I got a box of Hershey Pot of Gold caramel pecan clusters, and, together, we're getting shower walls this morning!

I am simply happy to have Keith home.  There were too many years he was traveling for work.

That's understandable!

We are also celebrating the safe return of our upstairs housemates from their festive long weekend in London.

Does anybody out there remember a record album, SMASH FLOPS?

I think it first came out in the late 1950s or early 1960s.

The basic idea was that, if it weren't for ever-changing history, these songs would have been huge hits.

In any event, I discovered this on-line.  Enjoy!

Did you see Jeremy Clayton playing oboe?

We have the coda to the overture to write, and we will do that on Thursday.  Tomorrow, I stay home to finish "Take Me Back To Manhattan," and Joshie has things to write without me.

I am getting excited about next Thursday's band reading.

I should have, but I failed to check the others out!  I'll get back on it later.

I have been having problems with my phone camera.  I am pleased it is working again.  I have a strange phone, things stop working and then start again all on its own.

Well, I need to go to sleep, too.  Every year after our fiscal year roll-over at work, the Acquisitions Supervisor (which is now me) takes the entire Acquisitions department out to lunch (the staff of 5 gets to choose where).  For many years, we went to Brewery City Pizza.  For the last couple of years, we went to Red Robin.  This year, however, they wanted to go to Brewery City Pizza again, so we are.  Anyway, we're going today. :)

Have a good day, all.

Well, lunch at Brewery City Pizza was fun.  Great food and good company. :)

The show last night sounds most entertaining!  I am glad to hear that Andrea McCardle is still entertaining!
