Packages arrived, including a surprise little gift from George Feltenstein of Warner Bros - The Boy Friend Blu-ray - I know what I'll be watching shortly :)

Also, two new (to me) Sibelius cycles - looking forward to hearing what will probably be my penultimate complete cycle experience - there's one more coming in a week or two, never released on CD but really well thought of - I found a copy of the reel-to-reel tape set from 1959 and that's being transferred for me.

Watching that John McGlinn video led me to THIS complete and hi-def video of the BBC Proms' concert production of Kiss Me, Kate!, which then led me to the restored production of Oklahoma! at The University of North Carolina School of the Arts, that (former) DR Jose had either been involved in, or at least posted about a couple of years ago. :)

My friend Ben Davis is the Petruchio in John Wilson's Kiss Me Kate, and my friend Kyle Guglielmo, who's also on the Roberta recording, is the Curly in the Oklahoma!.  Small world.

Ben's currently playing Captain von Trapp in the tour of The Sound of Music.  I believe DR Matthew saw him.

That's why his name sounded so familiar.  You've mentioned that here before.

Well, I need to go to sleep, too.  Every year after our fiscal year roll-over at work, the Acquisitions Supervisor (which is now me) takes the entire Acquisitions department out to lunch (the staff of 5 gets to choose where).  For many years, we went to Brewery City Pizza.  For the last couple of years, we went to Red Robin.  This year, however, they wanted to go to Brewery City Pizza again, so we are.  Anyway, we're going today. :)

Have a good day, all.

Well, lunch at Brewery City Pizza was fun.  Great food and good company. :)

The food looks good AND they have veggies as a side dish :)

One of my staff had the Veggie Sandwich.  She said that it was very good.  I had the Sonoma Wrap.  It was good, too.

I thought the edamame were snow peas ;D
