The library has ordered season four of A Place to Call Home. I'm now 26th waiting for one of four copies.

Something to look forward to.

"The Boy Friend" is one of the most magical musical motion pictures I have ever experienced.

I love it to pieces, and I'm so excited by the early praise this Blu ray transfer has received from the likes of Robert A. Harris and Bruce Kimmel.

I sent Keith a text that I collected the mail and he sent back a shocked face ;D  I rarely get the mail since we moved here, funny considering I often walked a half mile round trip to collect it in Ashland vs a few covered steps from our door to the mail box from our condo.

I'm up - was up at nine-thirty, announced, and fell right back asleep until thirty minutes ago, at which point the computer's operating system did its usual occasional complete freeze.

Yes, T Tune and Twiggs had a falling out during My One and Only and didn't speak or see each other until our CD.

I estimated six hours to accomplish my orchestration and I came in just under that.  Now I need a nap.

If there's nothing else I can say today, I can say that POSITOOVITY has left the building.

Those two, working together, could probably sell me a pallet of snow while I was vacationing in the Arctic, so I have to remain very alert at all times.

Tune writes about the trouble, sort of, in his autobiography, Footnotes.

TOD

RE: The Boyfriend.

Was the recent airing on TCM have the same transfer that was used on the Blu Ray?

I need a nap.

So do I.  I'm tired and am doing laundry instead of walking.  I think I will go and read, maybe I will fall asleep.

What was in the longer version of "the Boy Friend" on laserdisc and presumably on Bluray?  I've only seen the film on TV and  on DVD

I believe some of the musical numbers were trimmed. Watching it on TCM and in One of the first musical numbers it had a couple of jumps as frames were missing where the footage was put back. One would think that they had access to the European version

Ahh...I guess I might have to read that, now.

The jump cuts in the first number have always been there.

There is nothing missing in this Blu-ray, nor was there anything missing in the Warner Archive DVD of 2011.  My only tiny wish is that they'd included the cut down version for the folks who originally saw it that way - because that's the way we fell in love with the movie.

Had a sandwich and other little junk for my meal o' the day, picked up a couple of packages, and have done some work, printed out some orders, and shortly I shall perhaps relax with a motion picture.
