Listening to music. First I listened to two SACD Sibelius - Colin Davis doing the fifth (and second) symphony - didn't like it when I first heard it mostly because I hated the muffled sound - here the sound is MUCH better but I still don't care for the much-lauded performance, which kind of bugs me. Then a fifth symphony conducted by Ole Schmidt, which I'd listened to on regular CD. Again, sound is much better on the SACD, and the performance is certainly decent but not exceptional. Then I began to listen to the third symphony conducted by Mravansky - interesting, with weird sound (live performance from the early 1960s - it gets better as it goes and I like the performance - I'm saving the rest).
