Today is a shopping day.  I decided yesterday that I would buy myself a back brace, since that seems to be the body area that is causing me the most problems.  Perhaps that will put me back in better order.

I take Claritin D/24 Hour regularly.  I had been paying almost $19 for a box of 15 of the WalGreen's version, since it was not in my list on my insurance.  I think I have mentioned this before.....I happened to stop in at a store called LoCost Pharmacy, and for their generic brand....I pay $8.16 for a box of 15.

Good find price wise.

Hi everyone - thanks for the early morning (for me anyway) birthday wishes.

Up early trying to get on a puppy "med" schedule. I swear these Dr's think we can just sit around and administer drugs all day! Oh, how I'd love to be able to do that. Trying to keep Leo on a schedule He has 3 drugs, 2 every 12 hours, one every 8 - and that one has to be given within 2 hours of the other one. We will do our best!

I have never heard of an odd drug schedule like this.  GOOD LUCK!

Tuesday morning greetings!  Errands today, which will be nice after 2 days of hibernating.  They say it's like spring out there, so I think I'll go find out for myself.

Drove out of the neighborhood in daylight this morning. The house at the corner apparently was another storm victim as a huge section of wooden fence had blown across the street.

TOD:

You can do most anything to a hot dog in my book. Chicago dog, New York style, top it with blue cheese. But do not put ketchup on it. Way too gag-nasty sweet.

Crispy dogs are a tradition here in SanAntonio. Slice through most of a dog, stuff it with cheese, roll it in a corn tortilla and deep fry it. Serve with yellow mustard.

Supposedly it's a kids treat, but I've seen a lot of adults order them after a few schooners of beer.

Thanks to Jane and Ginny and Fred and John and TCB and Jrand for all the well-wishing!  I think it helped for last night.

Last night's portion of the preparation actually was not unpleasant...certainly not actually pleasant mind you, but it wasn't an uncomfortable experience (I had read some real horror stories on-line).

I slept as well as I usual do (and no accidents during the night ::) ).  I'm now taking the last of this morning's prep and it's as not unpleasant as it was last night, so that's good.  My friend Margo will pick me up at about 12:45 for my 1:15 appointment.

Exactly!  And the name of "Tumwater" actually comes from the tumbling waters of the river that flows through town.

I think that is as good as it gets.  I rarely keep all the drink down, and last time I had a reaction and had to stop drinking it.

DR GINNY it is lovely weather again today - and in spite of some rain predictions, we are supposed to be in the 60's until Friday!

I'm up, I'm up - a bit over nine hours of sleep, which I guess I needed.  I awoke to news that I've been hired to direct a new musical - it's really kind of a glorified workshop that's not open to the public when it plays its two performances - but it is, in fact, a full production with sets, lighting, costumes, a band, a full Equity paid cast.  Kay is choreographing (although there's not much to choreograph at this point) and she recommended me because she knew the other directors they'd talked to and didn't relish working with any of them.  It's a really difficult piece because it's VERY dark - not the kind of thing I do, really, but that was what got me the job - because I told them I could only approach the material positively because I think the audience has to feel not relentlessly bombarded with dark.  They liked that.  They're first time authors, so I can probably be of help in terms of smoothing out the obvious problems.  It all happens pretty quickly - casting end of March, rehearsing mid-April opening end of May and, in fact, when it opens I'll already be rehearsing Dial M for Murder - but the schedule works because these rehearsals are days and end at five and the Dial M rehearsals don't start till seven.
