At noon today, I have a meeting with Frazier producer Joe Keenan about this April Babes In Toyland concert.  I have no idea how long it will go.  This morning, I'll tally tax receipts.

Hopefully, it all went well, Larry!

I am so congested and nasally right now - I don't get it, really.  I probably should cancel this evening, but I guess I'll try to brave it.  Then again, evening air might not be good for me and I wouldn't get home before eleven.  Hmmmm.

Friday afternoon greetings!  Richard and I went to the bank today to check our safe deposit box for our marriage certificate, which we'll need for a Medicare appointment week after next.  I'd already looked (twice) in all the obvious places here at home to no avail and, alas, it was not at the bank either.  We can get a duplicate, of course, but it perplexes me that I can put my hands easily on our birth and baptism certificates, my college acceptance letter and transcripts, every card we received for our wedding, Rob's birth, and our move into this house, but not the one item for which we have an immediate need.  My sister, the genealogist, told me that as soon as we obtain the duplicate, we'll find the original...

A co-worker of mine and his wife got married in Mexico (they're both American born and bred) and he said that they've never had an actual marriage certificate.  He was in the navy and it was never questioned.  I don't know what he would do if he would need an actual piece of paper.  He's never been concerned, though. :)

Jane, I think it has healed as well as it is going to heal. It doesn't feel the same as before the surgery, but I think that's the way it is going to be. I get to do it again on the other side next month.

I passed the blood pressure test at the doctor's office this morning. He also cleared me to hike if I do it carefully. If the foot doesn't get better in a couple months, he will send me for some kind of physical therapy thing where they make you cry out in pain but will fix it.

Poor Richard Sherman - canceled his trip to London and is in rehab for his back problems - apparently from getting up and coughing at the same time, which is how this began, he fractured (very MILD) two vertebrae.  So, he'll be there for about two weeks.
