Last night I watched the first two episodes of A Place To Call Home Season 4. The first episode reminded me of the old Tom Swift serials: season 3 ended with a death, and a heart attack and all kinds of disasters, and Season 4 began with the death explained, the heart attack victim hospitalized but no explanation of how she was saved.  The Tom Swift episodes began, after ending with Tom under attack from bandits, Indians, stampedes, whatever, with "With a leap, Tom made it to freedom."

So, how did Elizabeth leap to freedom as she lay dying on the floor after her heart attack?

Maybe angels carried her to safety.

Thanks. I was wondering that myself.

Maybe angels carried her to safety.

I want a screen title: Angels wafted Elizabeth to hospital safety where the kindly gay doctor restored her to life and family.

DR George I am surprised you didn't have a Nook app on your Sumsung since they are now connected.  Do you find the Nook app better than the Kindle one?  I do.

Oops, I forgot to read the notes.

We're talking shampoos and stuff like that?

I recall a joke on MASH about the difference between sham poo and real poo, or something like that.

I got an email from FaceBook telling me ignore an email that was sent to me (and about a billion other people on Monday) about my advertising account.

I thought about sending a Groucho Marx response.  He received a telegram from  Chico that read: "Ignore this telegram."  Groucho immediately wired back: "What telegram?"

I'm up, I'm up - I guess I got ten hours of sleep - I was up a few times during the night, but only for minutes at a time.

I got that e-mail, too.  I was going to e-mail the Theater Artists Olympia board to see if anyone knew anything about it (because we have boosted posts for payment), but then I didn't. ::)

Trying to get uncongested (and decongested).  Probably will go have chicken soup and a bagel within the hour.

I remember Brylcreem, but I can't say whether or not I actually ever used any.

Definitely Prell, because that damned tube was so convenient.  Everyone loved it.

And along these lines (i.e., hair) I also remember Head and Shoulders.

I also seem to remember having something to use these products on... so long ago...

I had dandruff when I was a kid.  I tried different shampoos and when I got to Head and Shoulders, it worked.  I've been using it ever since.

She finally reached the phone and called for help.  It was explained later.  I bet they had a lot of calls on that one ;D

I have an actual Kindle, so I rarely use the Kindle app on my tablet (mainly because the screen is so shiny).  I never thought about a Nook app because I get most of my e-books through the library and put them on my Kindle.  I got the Nook app because these BookBub Nook e-books were free, were only available for a Nook, and were not available through the library, so I finally needed it.

Otherwise, I haven't used it enough yet to have a preference between the two.  I also like getting the free Kindle books through the library, so I'm sure that'll stay as my preferred device.  But now, I'll definitely be going back to BookBub for the free Kindle AND Nook books. :D

I haven't tried downloading a library book to my Kindle app, probably because I was using my Nook when most library books were Nook friendly and not Kindle friendly.  It is also an extra step to download to the Kindle app, at least it used to be.

I am trying to recall the various hair products I used.  Breck & Prell come to mind.  There was Aqua Net Hair Spray that I had to be forced to hold still for.  Johnson's No More Tangles.  There were the sticky setting lotions we combed into our hair before putting it in rollers.

I've finished all of my Joshie assignments, and tomorrow he and I will go through them and plot our weekend work.  Rehearsals with the principals begin next Tuesday, I believe.

My former boss, one of my least favorite people on the planet, was there. And annoying as ever.

She tried to make it out that her house got hit by one of the tornadoes, then said it missed her house by 300 feet. That's the length of a football field.
