Today is the birthday of my adopted son, Joshie.  I am having the best time working on The New Yorkers with him.

A Very Happy Birthday to Larry's DAS Joshie!! :D

And speaking of the new CD, I was just on Amazon and looked up the title just to see what's there and THIS 2-fer import CD is available for preorders.  It's "Two for the Road / Me Natalie: Mancini in the 60s," and will be released April 28, 2017.  Interesting coincidence.

Bootleg - I'm going to report it.

I'm up, I'm up - about ten hours of sleep.  Very congested, and frankly this morning feels like allergies - I've just taken the Claritin D, so hopefully that will help.

And I am home.  Joshie and i had a very good work session, I had a good meeting with Rob and the cjoreograher, and I have a song and dance to orchestrate this weekend.  This is my last major number, and Joshie has two that he and I may work on together.  I'll take my score in Monday and he and I can go through it.

A hood meeting? Is that clan-speak? Or Vixtyping?

It's cold and gray here. But not cold enough to avoid ice cream. A scoop of chocolate and Grand Marnier and a scoop of coffee Heath.

At Half Price Books, I found a complete recording of William Bolcom's A View from the Bridge. I also grabbed the Irish film Into the West, which I loved when it came out. Haven't seen it in years.

The big find was a two-volume box sets with the librettos of Show Boat, As Thousands Cheer, On the Town and many more. I didn't buy it a few months ago because they wanted $35 for it. Today it was $10.

Had some chicken soup and a bagel, then came right home.  I could seriously live without having allergy issues on top of fighting the good fight.  Really, enough already.  I've been printing out lots of invoices, but Paypal is completely retarded and the forwarding of the invoices is running three hours late - I haven't gotten anything from after eleven this morning, but they're all there in the account.  They come in piecemeal.

Listened to the first chapter - so many pick-ups that have to be done - wrong words, mispronunciations, etc.  There has to be a better way of doing this - this fellow has done hundreds of them, but I have to imagine either they let this stuff slide or he spends lots of time doing pick-ups.  And we brought Brittney back for the second time to do over three lines - she did, she left, he sent them to me and they weren't there - the before was there and the after but not the lines.  So, she has to come back a third time.  I think the answer is next time I'll read the book and record it.  This fellow admits he's a technological luddite - he never pauses the recording - he apparently doesn't know how, so we get minutes going by while airplanes are overhead - seems so silly to me.  But when it's right, it's lots of fun, but editing this thing is going to be a nightmare, frankly and I don't know if it's worth it.  At some point, I may just decide to spend the two days doing it myself and then editing in the gals.

I'd never known about this, but I just happened across it on Amazon a couple of days ago.  I added it to my wish list.

Yes, but there are two used copies that are $3.89 and $3.99.  Of course, they each would cost $3,99 to ship.
