I just spent a lovely hour on the phone with my best friend (since we were 14).  She now lives in Louisville KY and yesterday was her 60th birthday

DR ELMORE - both of your posts are food for thought to be sure.....  The big question is:  Can I get a cast that can sing, dance, and do comedy?

And I think the good thing about the show is - it moves so fast and is so loud that there is really no time to think about it until on the way home......

SECOND SAMUEL took, I believe, ten (10) awards today including Best Ensemble and People's Choice Award.

That's fantastic!!

Richard and I visited Mom and took her Easter decorations for her to play with.  She has a tabletop "tree" that was a jewelry display piece from my grandmother's days as a marker at L. S. Ayres in Indianapolis.  Mom has some exquisite Easter eggs to hang on it.  I also took light bulbs for 2 of her lamps so she can see what she's doing 😎

I remember L.S. Ayers. Nice department store.

Except for the string beans I would want to be out for that meal too.  Aside from the meat factor, I HATE scallops.

Went out for Indian food with friends. Didn't realize the food would be Southern Indian, which is my favorite. We only ordered three entrees, which the three of us shared, and the portions were big enough for five or more. And the food was righteously delicious and exceptionally hot, true to Southern Indian style.

The sauce on the butter chicken helped cooled things down, but the goat biryani was exceptional -- and fiery.

I'm very happy.

Jane, I ordered a vegetarian dish of English peas stewed in a spicy tomato. Excellent.

I actually made this for both of us last Saturday , however I bought a bag of frozen scallops and a three pack of vacuum packed filet mignon so I had to use that up didn't I?

I changed it up a little this time,I put butter and lemon in with the scallops instead of olive oil and when I made the sauce I added some sliced mushrooms and left out the lemon

And the vegetable this time was cauliflower casserole which was made ahead of time and kept warm while I cooked the rest of the meal   it is very simple ,very fast and only uses one skillet   It's a little pricy but for a treat once a month or so it's not bad

I don't think I have ever eaten Indian food , our neighbors are Indian (immigrants not US born) and their kitchen window and exhaust fan faces our house...Mrs Singh's cooking smells wonderful

It sounds good, except for the spicy part.
