DR ELMORE I think tootrchestratal is a fine word that should be in the dictionary.

Between my eyes and my fingers, I'm becoming a  typist from the Vixmom School of Business..

TOD:

I never quite knew what a poultice - or a mustard plaster - were.  They always sounded icky.  The word poultice doesn't even look right.  It's like it's trying to have something to do with poultry.  Or poutine.

A friend once found, in beautiful condition, an antique electrical "thing" for curing various ills.  I forget now exactly what it looked like, but he researched it and found there had been a bunch of these things.

There's plenty to amuse on this page:

Oh, my! :o

DR JRand66, I remember Laura Wingfield quite well.  She attended one class, spilled a glass of water on her steno pad, yelled at us when we laughed, threw a crutch at us, and never came back.

I got a bit worn out from walking and carrying.  I made an appointment with my new doctor and he rushed me right in....on April 10.

Thank goodness you were rushed right in  ::)

Vibes the doctor is worth the wait!

Our neighbor is burning incense outside her front door which is rather close to our entrance.  When Keith took the trash out this morning the smell/stink blew inside and his office, which is closest to the door, smells of it.

I had a nice conversation with the neighbor who was shocked it came into our place.  She mentioned there is another one on her back patio.  I said not to worry I won't open that door.

If you want tips on how to sell your home do not ask this lady.  This almost tops the list of things she is doing wrong ;D

DR Elmore, we received the Ohio Light Opera brochure yesterday.  On their calendar they have:

The Music Man
Anything Goes
H.M.S. Pinafore
Primrose
The Student Prince
Countess Maritza
The Lady of the Slipper

I think you've had some involvement with at least 2 of those pieces and wondered if you have any insights into these productions.  Richard's interested in The Student Prince and I'm up for anything.

TOD: Using wet tobacco on a wasp sting to draw out the stinger. It works.

I have never heard of wet tobacco.  I suppose it helps to be a smoker.  If possible I use ice.

DR ELMORE the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream indicates you feel you are being overwhelmed with information - the tide will ebb by March 12.....

The tide will ebb....tide will ebb...

Hmmmm.....

There's a piece of music in that word assemblage, I feel it!

Someone should write it and call it "Tide Ebb"...or something like it.

I have heard of using meat tenderizer for any kind of insect sting/bite.  For a long time I carried some on my hike and never needed it so I have no idea if it works.  Of course prior to carrying it, and after, I needed it and just used Benadryl spray.

Maybe John Kander should write it.

I have nothing good to say about this organization.  My former Packard employer has been allowing them to perform the work John McGlinn recorded and my team and I later edited;  Ohio Light Opera then does "their"edition, adapts the orchestrations and passes it off as original.  Last year it was "their" Have A Heart, while the wonderful M<cGlinn recording remains in limbo.  Before that  they did Oh Lady! Lady!  In 2012, they performed Jubilee, had to credit my work per their contract, but my orchestrations were all rewritten to cut saxophones, piano and guitar by their staff and I got a bad review for their hatchet job. I do not wish them well.

This day has had frustrating moments: I called my HMO and my problem with my therapist's office is resolved. So I asked about this curious increase in copays for my meds.  I was transferrd to a man whose english was a second or third language, and I could make no sense of what he was saying.  He kept telling me to speak to my union and I kept responding that I was not enrolled in Medicare via any union.  So, he told me to call a number that put me back to Square One.  WTF?

Got my invites today to Rachael Ray's SXSW parties. Weeper is playing. I don't know Weezer. But lots of people do  at least those who listen to '90s music.

Do you know Tinie Tempah?

He was both a guest and performer on "The Graham Norton Show" last week.
