Back from a fun lunch with Lanny Meyers at the Eclectic Cafe - the day chef is really not very good, I must say - I had a small Caesar and the small side of mac-and-cheese - the latter, normally fantastic, was awful.

My question for ASK BK DAY:

Have you ever been a witness in a trial?

I had a little nap and i'm feeling more awake now.  The City's a mess today.  None of the bus stops are accessible because the piled up snow from the street is so hgh that you cannot get to a bus.  The intersections have little lanes between the piles of snow to get from sidewalk or curb to the street.  Navifation is not easy.

I got to my accountant's office and took care of my taxes, which are hopefully now filed.  I then went to 27th Street and 6th Avenue for the bus ride to City Center.  It usually takes 20 minutes.  This morning it took an hour.  I was not amused.

That said, I have been a witness to certain days that are a trial, this being one of them at the current moment in time.

I'm at work, listening to the new original Broadway cast recording of Come From Away, streaming from NPR.  In the picture you can see one of the leads, Chad Kimball (in the red and black jacket), and right behind him is a guy playing a small accordion.  That's the music director/conductor, Ian Eisendrath.  He's from Olympia!  I know him! :D

And just for fun:

In the top left photo, you see Ken Howard, Michele Lee and Mayor Lindsay (who did a walk-on).

"Seesaw" is the musical production.

The photo on the top right is Tommy Tune, Michele Lee and company (Number 4, 1909?).  He won a Tony as featured actor in a musical for this show.

If we drive up to Seattle this summer would the Mexican restaurant be a good place to meet or a bit out of the way?

It's about a mile from where I live and right off the freeway, so it's very easy to get to.

I don't know what it is outside 'cause I haven't set foot out there today.  But I'm currently "cold" and using my space heater.  My hands, especially, are cold.

Okay, a little more photographic evidence.  Made these a little smaller, but I've got to figure that out someday so it isn't always guesswork.

The part of the driveway in front of the house.  You can't really see where it snakes down and around a bend then up another hill, after which it eventually goes back down to street level.  But it does.

Wow, impressive work!

Listening to the Boys from Syracuse. Great way to start the day. Richard Rodgers. Lorenz Hart. Rebecca Luker. Lovely.

Love Ms. Luker!  I have to check this out!
