Joshie and I got a beautiful email from Jack Viertel, thanking us for the orchestrations, and calling us "Irv and Sid,"  It was really kind. He wrote:
You sent me straight to heaven today, where I expect to stay for the next ten days or so, breaking in to choruses of The Heaven Hop from time to time as the mood strikes.

Your devotion to the cause is admirable enough, but your inspiration and skill go way beyond that. The work is thrilling and I’m very humbled and happy to be the recipient of the thrill.

BEAUTIFUL and worth another WOW!

It was completely unexpected, but so nice.

Saturday morning greetings!  We have a quiet Saturday until late afternoon when we'll leave for a 5pm service in Dayton at which they'll have a guest priest - Fr. Richard.  After the service we'll probably make a couple of shopping stops and grab some dinner.  Meanwhile, I've made chicken salad and plan to putter at my art desk for a bit.

DR Elmore, I'm so happy for you about the glowing reception for your work.  Richard and I are so looking forward to seeing the show and being part of your HHW cheering section!

What a beautiful note.  That is thrilling, and so completely deserved!  Congratulations, and here's to a thoroughly wonderful upcoming week!

I felt really drowsy earlier and went back to bed.

Because I could.

Fell into a nice long nap, and now I'm having a piece of coffee cake with my coffee and feeling much more like facing a day.

DR Vixmom and anyone else watching for a baby to be born.  I just read this.....

"Saw an interesting interview with the owner of the facility that's housing April, the pregnant giraffe. The reason for the confusion regarding her due date is that -- despite the lengthy 15-month pregnancy -- giraffes cycle every *17* days (pretty amazing!), and they don't know which time she actually conceived. They started counting with the first mating but had no idea whether it "took" or not (obviously, it didn't). So it's not that she's late...."

Great Food Fotos from DR VIXMOM and DR CHAS SMITH yesterday in celebration of SPD.

Nice email the DR ELMORE received!!!  Continued success vibes for THE NEW YORKERS!

Cole Porter - Indiana boy......we have visited his old stomping grounds in Pee-Ru.....very interesting.  And I once met one of his lady cousins......she was very short and had PINK hair.....and was wearing a mink stole in August.

Thanks to DR GEORGE for the GYPSY report.....he did not tell us if Rose POPPED and ROLLED her eyes and clacked her dentures like Imelda Staunton did....hopefully.....not.

And of course, in Staunton's GYPSY, between HER and the homely actresses playing the daughters, you could only imagine Herbie was staying around because he liked the Newsboys.

The rain has stopped and the sun is making an appearance.  Looking out the window I counted 16 sailboats on the river :)

At least Keith saw the email cancelling tomorrow before he picked up a few more things.  I guess I needed to clean anyway.  Better the guest not come and give us the flu or possibly pneumonia, he will know about that once his x-rays have been taken.

I think Diane Keaton is a fine actress, but don't like anything from the last two decades, mostly to do with the films themselves.  But she's great in Play It Again, Sam (which I also saw her do on Broadway), Annie Hall, and Manhattan, and she's wonderful in Reds.
