TOD:
I love all chewy candy. I think cinnamon bears are my favorite. And for a little while OSH was selling chocolate covered cinnamon bears, which were to die for.
Speaking of which, I found chocolate covered matzo in the grocery store yesterday. It took all my will power not to buy any.

Oh lordy -- someone at the auditions yesterday had brought in a bag of Werther's Original candies.  I hadn't had any of those in some years, and must have downed seven or eight of them.  I'd forgotten the double whammy of texture they give you, the outer shell and the creamy interior, and how the outer shell becomes chewy as it melts in your mouth.  Heavenly.

DR JohnG, I am so sorry to hear about your friend.  Do you know what happened to him?

No. I heard from his parents who are grief-stricken. Just very hard to digest.

I'm so sorry. What horrible news.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It sounds as if the show went GANGBUSTERS for MR BK & Co.

CONGRATULATIONS.

DR JohnG, condolences.  It is very upsetting losing a friend.  Especially one so young.

Monday morning greetings!  The baby shower yesterday was fun, but I was exhausted when we got home.  Today I have to go to one retirement community for a ladies' meeting and another to visit my Mother.

I've since learned from a mutual friend that he collapsed at a hot spring in the area and died when they got him to the hospital. Could have been a heart attack or stroke. I don't know if it's known yet.

The chocolate covered matzo sounds wonderful, especially with a tiny bit of salt.

DR John G,  be assured that I'm not offended over the photo you posted yesterday.  I've known for a long time that Richard is the photogenic one and more and more photos of me resemble my late aunt.  Even my driver's license has her picture on it!

I did a little planting this morning. Put a bunch of herbs in pots.

Felt therapeutic, despite my black thumbs, of doing something that symbolizes new life.

Great to hear that your show has the demand to extend its run, George!!!   Very exciting!

Thanks, Fred!  We really needed something like this...financially, especially!

I just got news that a Good acquaintance, probably in his late 30s, died while camping over the weekend. Kevin was a free spirit who brought joy to just about everything he did. He was a movie fanatic, especially of low-budget and horror films. His mom is one of the best chefs in town and tried teaching him how to make her amazing Korean specialties, which he did at parties for his friends. He ran a burger joint that was in the wrong location and never developed an audience but served some of the best burgers I ever had. He was centered, gentle and seemed to welcome the world in his embrace.

RIP, Kevin.

John, I'm so sorry.  My condolences to you and to his family. :(

That's funny though I think you usually take lovely photos.  I know the older I get the less I like mine.
