I'm home after seeing the Cornish Institute production of the musical version of Sister Act. Margo's daughter's friend Maizy played Sister Mary Patrick (the Kathy Najimy role) was really good. The rest of the cast was pretty good, too. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience!

After the show, we went to the McMenamin's on Queen Anne Hill. It was just a couple of blocks from the theater. After eating, we went to her car. We parked on the street and she got a $53 parking ticket!

We didn't realize that we parked were we shouldn't have. Parking in the parking lot would only have been $15. Live and learn.

I had one long and wacky dream about The Drama Book Shop last night. There were guest appearances from co-workers from my 1950s office warehouse job. F. Murray Abraham did not put in an appearance.

So, today is Act Two of "The Golden Apple." The orchestra played well yesterday in Act One, but there's a lot of music in this score. The players were learning the notes and discovering how it fits together. Act Two has all the vaudeville routines that I think inspired much of the Follies numbers.
