Oh no, Elmore! I hope everything is still in the range where diet can help.

DITTO!

Thanks for the vibes! I check my blood sugar regularly - my dad did it three times a day! - and it's always in a safe aream if sometimes higher than I would prefer.  I have no idea what's going on and I know I am going to get hell from my doctor or Wednesday.

I'm listening today to the last D'Oyly Carte Company recording of The Yeoman of the Guard, which includes an appendix of the two cut songs and the first version of another.  Not as well sung as some of the other recordigns of the work, but mighty satisfying.

I hope so, too!  My appointment on Wednesday will be painful.

Hmm.  I've still got that Yeomen score in my "save for later" on Amazon UK.  Must get to that one of these days.

I've got the PBS repeat of Verdi's Nabucco on whilst puttering around on various and sundry little tasks.  Mr. Levine is at the helm and Mr. Domingo is on the deck (for all you sailors out there), and it all looks and sounds appropriately magnificent.  But it's not a piece I know, and I'm DVR'ing it to return to another time.

We took an afternoon tour to the country, including a castle and a tour of a port/Muscatel/winery.  While it sounds lovely we are not pleased and can't wait to return to Lisbon.

The winery was pretty but we were not given time to linger. The white muscatel was smooth and yummy, however, I was also expecting a taste  of port. We weren't given time to stroll the little town. We never went to the town near the castle. The pamaramic drive was nice except the views from the castle in Lisben are much better

Last stop was a nice enough town with an expected 30 min stop reduced to 20 min.

All in all, not worth the long drive in a bus.

An afternoon of opera. Ushering for a local production of Barber of Seville.

I'm feeling okay - morning congestion of course, but that will go away - not sure about a jog, looks chilly out.  I do have a video now from last night, so I'll get that uploaded so I can share it.

Just put the video up, so here it is.  And speaking of You Tube, while you're there watching the video, please subscribe to my channel - do it, do it now.  Never look back, never regret, never eat hummus.

What a great song! It's so perfect for the occasion.

I enjoyed the video, but was sorry we didn't see Dad hug BK.

Macron has won over 60% of the vote in France. The results are preliminary, as votes are still coming in. For some of us, this is very good news.

Jack, might you be able to post--or have someone post on your behalf-- prior to coming home from the hospital?

Bruce, do you use Sambucol for that? I use it virtually every morning. I find it very good for sinus.

BK has mentioned the new song several times over the past months. I knew he was writing it for friends, a family, but I hadn't realized it was for Hayley's dad.

I use Sambucol for anything throaty or nose-y.  It's a miracle thing.
