Just finished the long and involved sequence I knew would be difficult. This guy is a screenwriter who has no idea how to write for the stage in terms of where action is taking place - he thinks you can just cut away from scenes, which is absurd. So, I have to make all that work for the stage - for this sequence that required writing about fifteen new lines of dialogue, but very much in the style he created for his characters (his dialogue is very good), just to make the action work and have clarity about everything. The way it was written things just came out of nowhere with no set up at all - the audience really is a partner in a show and everything needs to be clear to them in terms of the storytelling, and then I also have to be able to stage it. I think it came out pretty well, actually.
