Hi all and Good Evening. I've missed my HHW family and I hope you know that even if I didn't post, I thought about you all and I still care about you.

This was "Employee appreciation week" (and you have no idea what a joke that has turned out to be). Anyway we had a choice of 3 places in the county to go visit--a park, a library or the Medical Examiner. I know the ME wouldn't be a first choice for most but I thought it would be a once in a "living" chance to see what they do. I can go to a library or a park but this was chance to see something not many people do behind the "curtain".

I honestly didn't know how I would react--I hoped I would be able to make the entire tour because we were warned about what we would see (and smell).

Frankly, I thought it was very interesting. Not sure I would do it for a living but I wasn't grossed out either. I did say a quick prayer for those we saw. One hung himself, one was an older lady (look who's talking) found dead in her house who they suspect died of drug overdose and the 3rd was a bit harder because it was a motorcycle accident.

I personally rarely answer the phone unless the caller id shows the number. So anybody who doesn't have their caller id showing can leave a message.

Those whose caller ID numbers don't show, don't leave messages.

Oh, my! A visit a medical examiner is certainly an unusual choice to show appreciation to your employees!

A friend of mine used to be a mortician (or whatever specific title he had) and said that it was a calling. When he went to school, not very many people at all who started with him finished the whole course.

For the most part this is true. Although occasionally someone will have a private number. But no message, no reaching me.

Back from auditions - only one candidate, which means if one of the two from tomorrow isn't good, I have to either see more folks or just take a chance on this guy - he's a good actor - not as naturally charming and wily as I'd like.

The afternoon dress for The Golden Apple was about what I expected for less than two weeks of rehearsal. Tonight was a 100% improvement. The audience seemed into it, there was more humor, and by Friday night, it's going to be really good. There's one cast member who is dreadful, really dreadful, and I have a few quibbles about things but I will discuss them with Rob after the show closes.

Jeroe Moross' daughter Susanna was very happy with tonight's dress. I hope it does food things for the show,
