How are you feeling, DR JRand66?  Did you watch Lucy last night?

Has anyone been watching HOME FIRES on PBS? (I always think "HOME FRIES.") Season 2 was quite good, I thought, but ended quite abruptly. I read that they'd planned to do another season, but that was cancelled. The writer is now working on a series of novels to cover the ground that would have been S3. Can't recall the exact title, but it's very close to HOME FIRES. I wish S3 hadn't been cancelled.

Hope Vixmom was able to see the chiropractor and that her back is now in good shape.

DR Jeanne, that finale with all the loose ends for a season that would never happen was quite distressing, and damn those producers who sold the series to PBS with no intentions of continuing it.

I was able to do my work at the soup kitchen, set up the altar at church and do my banking and grocery errands  albeit somewhat gingerly and slowly

I just watched Something Wild (1961) with Carroll Baker.

Fascinating.  I had never known about this film.  Great NYC locations and a fine score by Aaron Copland.  Watched the movie then devoured all the extras.  Criterion edition highly recommended.

I also set the DVR to record tomorrow night's first airing of the new Twin Peaks.

It kills me that I have to be out when it starts.

Seriously, of all the #&*!%* times to be out playing more #&*!%*# auditions.

Today I suggested strongly that we cut the final two-page scene and short number that go with it - the number previous to that is a huge show-stopper, Kay did a great job on it, and to follow it with anything other than the curtain call is folly and will be a letdown.

I just started watching it. The first 15 minutes or so are shattering. Don't know if I can stay awake for the whole film tonight.

Well, the tickets were not at the box office as promised, so I didn't get to see the Houghs.

Instead, a friend and I went to tapas at one place, crossed the street for oysters at another and ended up with street corn at a third joint. Nicer than watchers dancers dance. I've seen a lot of that lately.
