I've been reading through a new cookbook called Breakfast in Texas. The writer, Terry Thompson-Anderson, is a friend and she did mention some slight help I gave her in the acknowledgments, which was sweet of her.

Now all I want are arepas (corn cakes) with olive oil-fried eggs and salsa or brisket, bacon and egg breakfast quesadillas. Biscuits with sausage gravy, a Thai shrimp omelet and German apfelphannkuchen (apple pancake) are calling me. And I'm willing.

Back from a productive Dial 'M' rehearsal.  I finished act two, and did all of act three save for the final two pages, which we'll do tomorrow night.  So, four nights and we're basically blocked - I'm sure I will futz and finesse the blocking when the actors have scripts out of hand and I can really see what it looks like, but I'm pretty pleased with it.

Topic of the Day-III:  favorite off-Broadway show cast recordings (I've never seen these shows...yet):

3 Guys Naked from the Waist Down
Bed, Boys & Beyond
Charlotte Sweet

George, speaking of CHARLOTTE SWEET,  Christopher Seppe was the roommate of a good friend of mine in New York.  When I met him he was playing Matt in THE FANTASTICKS.  He died far too young.

Evening all.  I don't know what I got into yesterday but I was sick all day long.  I didn't go to work today so I could rest and  I'm feeling better this evening.

I have to say it.  Men are weird.  Present company excepted.  I've already canceled my subscription and don't plan on trying any of the other sites.  I guess I'm just not meant to have someone special in my life.

Danise, I can't think of anyone who is more deserving of having someone special in their life.

Listening to the Ashkenazy set of Scriabin - very beautiful - I have to give it a couple of listens - not as well recorded as the first one, I think, but it may be a volume thing.

A man was fishing on the banks of the Puyallup River, east of Tacoma, yesterday when he slipped and fell into the river.  A number of people attempted to save him from the river.  While they were trying to be Good Samaritans, some creep snuck over and stole all of their wallets and cell phones.

What is wrong with the world today??

I watched ROOM 237 this afternoon.  I remember Chas talking about it, but I can't remember if BK discussed it.
