Finished up the last few pages of Proust Vol. 6, The Fugitive, today. Only 700 pages in the last volume to go. Don't know when I can get started on that.

Volume six was a trial until the last 70 or so pages. Then it picked up like crazy with some of the best writing in the 3700 pages so far.

I went out with Randy on some errands, and we stopped by Enterprise to see if a rental car was ready for me.  It was, and I now have a cute little red Hyundai for the week.

My favorite commercial jingle:

"See the U.S.A.
   In a Red Hyundai..."

Me, I'd like some photographic evidence of DR Elmore toodling by on a country lane wearing driving cap and gloves, goggles, silk scarf trailing in the breeze, and waving to that nice family of four having a picnic on a blanket spread out on the grass...

I totally have that picture in my head now

I shall post the results of the doctors' meeting tomorrow upon receiving my phone call....yes it is in turn amusing and frightening....

Time will tell.

I had visits from my friend Vickie and my cousin Carol today - both were very welcome....much conversation and laughter was had during both visits - one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Do you have one doctor who is supposed to be coordinating all the treatment?

ASK BK (a few questions for you)

When will the Audio Book of Thrill Ride be released?

Are you going to continue working on the stage version of The First Nudie Musical?

Do you have plans to do a new version or a follow-up of Believe: The Songs of The Sherman Brothers?

Can't remember if I asked this before

Have you considered doing an Indiegogo  and/or working with Twilight Time restoring The Creature Wasn't Nice?

A few answers:

I was not happy with the number of fixes we'd have to do for the guy who read it - we'd be editing this thing until kingdom come.  So, at some point I'm going to read it.  Cindy will have to come in to do some fixes - that's easy - then we'll put it out.

Yes, at some point in 2018 I'm hoping to do another reading of Nudie.

That Sherman Brothers CD is dead to me - there was a time I thought If I could get it back I'd mix it the way it should have been, but that time has passed.  We do have at least one more rarities CD coming soon.

I don't need Twilight Time to do The Creature - I need a 35mm print is what I need.  I had one, licensed it to some German company for DVD and the deal was they hold it in storage for the term of the license, here in LA.  Well, they never paid their storage bill and the print was sold and I have no idea to whom.  Should I come across a print, then I'll do it.

Back from another slow day of tech, but we finished and actually managed to almost get a full run in (everything but the final scene) - that was good because we have to get the actors back on their A game of the past weekend.  I hate tech like this because it's a waste of their time and energy.  Next time, we do it my way or it's the highway.

Perhaps they should get Elmore to redo the orchestrations, which take a smack in the review. How can you make Cole Porter sound bland?

Perhaps the creators of this should get some brains and stop raiding composer songbooks to make scores.

Is FJL a producer on Roman Holiday, yes or no and no lying - or is just a coincidence that one of the producers is "Brooklyn Boy"?

Never sounded like a good mix. Porter's city was Paris, not Rome.

I've heard stories of situations like Jrand's and seen the potential for such miscommunication. When my dad was ill I mentioned something to the doctor. "Oh, no, " he replied, "we have all the information we need in the chart." I didn't wish to argue, but people are often rushed, etc. At UCLA, I've tried to give them all my pertinent allergy information, but they wouldn't put it all in, saying that it wasn't relevant. (1) it IS relevant, and (2) a few more words on a server that holds God knows how much data?

Mega vibes that this gets sorted out and goes smoothly from here onwards.

And I'm glad the chemo doctor was mad. Better an angry doctor than an apathetic one.
