The medley of songs in our little "entertainment" went okay.  But I had to fight, every step of the way, an unexpected and momentarily UN-welcome zephyr which threatened to totally derail my lovely (ha!) rendition of the Kiss Me, Kate overture.

Oh well.  Easy come, easy go.  Now I am home, and the air-conditioning has been fired up.  The rest of the afternoon and evening are nothing but leisure for this here DR.  I shall be at the Tony Awards bash tonight, but I'll probably get in late thanks to a hastily planned, last minute hamburger and hot dog grilling fest.

Ah, I have gone back to see and indeed it was quite mysterious with a random and unexplained thought of books making the world a fish spear ... Well I'll stand by it , a really good book does make the world a fish spear

Really, this one was a masterpiece.  I had wanted to comment on it this morning, but was -- frankly, speechless.    :)

Rob left for work with 3 bags of chips, an unopened 2-liter bottle of Coke, and what was left of the layered dip sent by DR Elmore's sister-in-law Jo.  The 2nd shift medical staff at Butler County jail will eat well this evening.

We are back from an event-crammed day.  Sadly, we did not get near the swimming pool, but we did go to see my favorite nephew Matt, who's working on his new home, which he took possession of on May 28th.  His wife's grandfather is helping him with all the interior work - they are currently living with his wife's mother and Matt cannot wait to get out of there.  His daughter Leona will be two in November, and she's really a little beauty.  We had a nice visit and then we drove to Dayton to a steakhouse for dinner.  Jo had an $80 gift certificate, and we ate quite well.  The strawberry daiquiris were really wonderful.

Anyone who wants to come here to watch the Tonys, we have fabulous munchies!

If I start driving now, I think I can make it in time!

Have you left yet?

I suddenly remembered I hate driving long distances!

;D

I feel the same way ;)

Hmmm  for some reason I can't stand from a stooping position.....twice I have tried and twice I have fallen backwards.....maybe it's because I am not leaning forward enough because of the surgery.

If I have to get on the floor now, I will get down on my knees.

Do your best to avoid getting on the floor.

Neither of my knees bend well and I look ridiculous when I have to get down on the floor, especially getting back up ;D

Kevin Spirtas has been nomianted for a Tony as one of the 35 producers/groups (9th listed) behind Dear Evan Hansen.

Congrats and good luck to Kevin Spirtas and fellow nominees!
