Bruce, I'm glad your experience with HIT SONG was so good. When you first described it as a country-and-western musical I questioned whether it was a good fit for you. Glad I was wrong.

It was the best fit these folks could have had in that I knew how to approach telling the story and how to make it make sense. And I had a blast doing that and working with these actors and creatives. And I'm VERY proud of my work on it - the director part - it looked great, moved quickly, and the performances were great.

I didn't much care for the opening number which took up a lot of valuable time.

I guess I liked the number from COME FROM AWAY....not that it made me any more interested in seeing the show.

DR VIXMOM was correct, the first acceptance speech was nice.

Hopefully no one will get too political tonight!
