I need to clean out the refrigerator before things get gross.

Have a nice day, everyone.

I commiserate with FJL on the stalker thing - we all know I have my very own lovely stalker from time to time.  Always fun when she comes out of the corn to stalk.

Thanks for understanding, BK.

Do you ever know what sets the person off?  Or is it random?

And thanks for that, too!

I have just about zero tolerance these days when it comes to stalkers and trolls.

Stalker Be Outta Here vibes for FJL, BK, and anyone else who can use 'em.

Today's rehearsal did not include our two narrators, so I'll be seeing Mr. dePaola on Thursday.

Thanks for the vibes, Chas!

Stalker B. Outtahere could be a name for a character somewhere.

Excellent parody, Fred. I enjoyed it much better than Randy Rainbow's use of the same song for Comey and Sessions.

Father's Day afternoon greetings!  I accompanied Fr. Richard to church in Dayton today and then took him to lunch at Panera.  We came home, changed clothes, relaxed a bit, then went to Staples where we both had copying to do.  I also bought a label maker.  Do we know how to live it up or what?

Well, we had 8 ushers for about 45 guests at the show, which was incredibly moving. A Mexican artist had designed the stage, which featured a wall of latex skulls that she had painted and then illuminated with lights under each. Overhead were five hot air balloons made out of paper. On them were projected animated images of people walking to suggest their migration. Around the walls were Mexican-style batik banners. You could walk around before the show and examine the works up close.

But the best visual of all was this stunning coup de theatre at the end, after the actors had finished telling their stories of the anxiety they face living in a world without papers, the back wall (actually a garage door-type barrier) was raised, bringing the world outside right into the theater. Really effective.

My stalker comes out on various boards whenever I post something and she thinks she can make me look bad.  She fails every time, and, like yours, her "style" is instantly obvious.

Picked up no packages because they hadn't arrived yet - rather unbelievable on a Sunday.

Years ago, when I'd had abdominal surgery, I found going down stairs and pressing down to make hamburger patties especially painful.

Continued vibes to you, DR JRand!

I ran into my super earlier this afternoon when I went downstairs to retrieve a package from the postman  Je says the elevator crew is arriving tomorrow to repair the broken door.  I don't know if this means the damned thing will be working again or if it means that we will have a broken life with a new door.

I hope it means we will have a working one.

If it remans broken, I may just lock up the apartment and return to Ohio for the duration.  I can certainly pay the rent long distance.

Continuing my education with Schumann's Unfinished Symphony - not my kind of thing, but I was happy to hear it - also some Rossini (okay) and a Beethoven overture (okay).  Now we're back to one of my favorites, Ravel, and the earlier Cluytens mono recordings, which are amazing - the stereo versions are also amazing, but these are just beautiful.

Listening to a composer I've never heard of, Gabriel Pierne - rather in the Ravel mold.

Jane, your new car looks very nice. I hope it serves you well for many, many years.

Thank you.  Our lease is for three years with an option to purchase it at that time.

There ought to be a  law.  Well, there is, I guess, but try to get someone to care!

Piano Concerto by Serge Nigg - a more "modern" composer, this concerto from 1954.
