Well, today is going to be a long day. My sister wants me to come over and ~~help her~~ replace almost all the light fixtures in her house. She wants to sell it (her house) and I guess new light fixtures are supposed to be a good thing. I think the current light fixtures look really nice, but it's not my house, so what do I know?

If it means a favorite movie star when we were children, without regard to gender, there are so many, but I'd say the first was Mitzi Gaynor in SOUTH PACIFIC (the movie version which IIRC I saw at 5 years old). I remember when Mitzi Gaynor did her TV special, a rarity for her, where that "Alice Blue Gown" number was in the ads constantly, I along with a friend in elementary school were by then all agog about her.

I got in at 7 to try and get ahead of things, I am so glad I did because I never would have gotten done. Also my lovely co workers ( who spent most of Thursday doing my work ) pitched in and between we three we got done what needed to be done and I was out of office by 6

How did they have time to help out with your work? Is this possibly a sign that they don't have enough work to fill their regular day normally, while you may have more than your share? or are they just extremely nice people? (or both?)

Jack was "the comedian's comedian," and I represented him for seven (7) years, longer than any other publicist.

Saturday morning greetings! Freaky Friday continued last night, after Richard and I got back from the festive and delicious Cuban dinner. I was in bed, about to turn off my light, when our room phone rang. Apparently there was evidence of a water leak on the 15th floor that they'd traced to a pipe behind the wall in our closet (we're on 20). Two maintenance men spent about an hour addressing the problem, while I totally expected to be told we were going to have to move. That did not happen, but I still had trouble going to sleep after they left.

I've already scratched the first session off my morning schedule, especially when I determined just how far I was going to have to walk once I got to McCormick Place.
