DR Chas, I wonder if the correct occupant realized the someone had been in his room. That would be creepy!

Fortunately, since the town installed a new drain in the road , our basement seems to have ceased flooding

I spoke too soon

No! I had so hoped that problem was over!

Do you have a sump pump? they can be quite helpful.

I took my car in for an oil change yesterday. they were very busy, but managed to get it done in a reasonable period of time. I did some shopping in the area, then had lunch while waiting.

I am a pillow connoisseur. I try all sorts of pillows for lumbar support, but am mostly disappointed. Most are too soft and squish down. One was too hard--rock-hard, in fact. Where is the middle ground? Something that is substantial and gives good support, but still providing the necessary "give". I spent an hour at a foam store trying out all possibilities.

For BK and Jane, this was Norm's Foam at Motor and National. Great place to go for custom pillows and cushions.

I bought home some samples to play with.

Had a productive rehearsal.  Nothing was ready as promised - I actually don't know what the guy was doing there from five in the morning until we arrived, although he said there was some electrical issue that took two of the hours - the only thing new was one lighting effect - I wasn't so happy about it and I told him that everything has to be in place by eleven tomorrow morning - everything.  So, we began an hour later than we should have, but the cue-to-cue went very quickly - only a handful of scenes have interior cues, so those took some time and all the lights aren't hung so it was only an approximation - but it's going to look very good.  Grant's music is working really well, too.  So, I gave everyone an hour and fifteen minute lunch break, then we began the run-through around 1:30.  We did have to stop a couple of times but it was very minor and very quick.  I took a lot of nitpicky notes and gave them and by the time all that was done it was really too late to start another full run, so we worked on the specific notes then ran act three in its entirety.

Good traffic vibes for DR JANE.

Thanks.  We are home, have had a walk, and now Keith is popping corn.

Happy Leon. It's exactly six months till Christmas, and Leon is Noel spelled backwards.

I arrived early and got to help by making a bourbon-mint iced tea punch. Very good. It had lemon and orange juice in it.

I have also passed on DR TCB's greetings and admiration to Mother Dolores, and she is more warmly gracious and happy in receiving these than you would ever imagine.

Edit:  She's one unique woman, and it's kind of a heady experience to be with the two of them in the knowledge that they've known each other since her early visits to the abbey while still an actress.

Oh wow!  Thank you, DR Chas.  To think that my message was delivered to Mother Dolores!!
