I left my house yesterday at about 11:30 am, helped my sister move furniture and stuff, and didn't get home until 11:48 pm!

Everywhere on the trip, gas was in the $1.95-$2.10 range, except Louisville, where it was $2.47 a gallon. What's up with that?

Last night, when Larry (my sister's boyfriend) was returning the moving van (and I was following in his car), he had to add gas to the moving van and he stopped at a place that charges $3.19 a gallon! :o After we dropped off the van and he was driving me home, we passed a gas station charging only $2.79 a gallon!  AND the two gas stations were only about 4 blocks away from each other!  What's that all about??

TOD

It all depends on what a definition of a flop is.

A show like Kiss of the Spiderwoman which ran 904 performance and didn't make back its money is considered a flop. While Merrrily We Roll along which closed after 16 performance is considered a flop as well.

I had a long dream that I was working on a Bernstein concert at Carnegie Hall with Joshie and Rob Berman

No answer from the composer about that "Pirate for Hire" number,  It's irritating because I had gioed ro finish it yesterday. Now I'm a day off my schedule which was to scan all the finished Piano-Conductor scores to him on Saturday, and there will be one less than I'd hoped to send.

I think last night was the first Fourth of July where I heard no fireworks at all.  That was strange.

One of my favorite lines of ALL is in "Fifth of July" - when a girl knocks down the leading man:

"I told you he had a wooden leg!"

"Oh!  I just thought you meant he could drink a lot!"

Plenty of fireworks here, but not at all like what vixmom was describing, and I heard nothing later than around 10 pm or so.  In this neighborhood we heard much more activity on the 3rd than on the 4th.

Wednesday morning greetings!  We're up early (for us) to meet my cousin Perry and his wife Pam for breakfast.  They've been visiting her family and today are on to Pittsburgh to visit friends.  From Cracker Barrel, we're going to try for them to see Mom.  We'll see how that goes...
