The last time I talked to the Program Committee chairperson, the two musicals had already been chosen.....we are stuck with ANNIE and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.....two musicals with exactly the same audience....

The two plays given the most consideration were BUS STOP and SEND ME NO FLOWERS.....neither of them gangbusters, but good plays that are fun.

Today when I asked....the two plays chosen were THE MOUSETRAP and BAREFOOT IN THE PARK.....

It's a dismal season as far as I'm concerned....yuck....

Back from a two-and-a-half mile jog - after seeing my weight in The Young Lawyers, I am done with being a blob.  Hear me roar, weight coming off and I'm gonna do whatever it takes to get it off and keep it off.  But I know someone who's really heavy, like over three hundred pounds - he's going to have one of those operations but in the meantime he's been losing weight and either he's lying or someone can explain to me how he's dropping four to six pounds a week - I used to be able to do that easily by just eating a 1000 calories, but though that's been my caloric intake I haven't lost diddly.

I struggled for many years.....and we just have to face the fact that as we get older, our metabolism changes and losing weight is more difficult.

Perhaps DR JEANNE would have some suggestions.  I don't think any of these weight loss programs are that helpful no matter what Marie Osmond is paid to say.

But checking with a nutritionist or your doctor might result in some positive results.

Great story, BK, and vibes for the weight loss. I need to do that, too. But this lack of exercise isn't helping me.

Did you call, Jrand?  :)

Actually, I do have a few things to say about it. (1) Yes, as we get older it's much more difficult to lose. Our metabolism changes AND most of us are less active. (2) I find that cutting carbs does the trick. It's takes a few weeks at the start--the body tries to maintain the status quo--but then the weight starts coming off. Once I get off sweets I don't want them; I'm quite happy these days with some fruit. (3) I think it's best to NOT have a deadline, a schedule. That just causes additional anxiety, which makes you more prone to eat. (4) It's best not to eat late at night. (5) It's better for most people to eat throughout the day, even if it's just small portions. That keeps your blood sugar up and at a healthy level.(5) the closer we get to our ideal weight the harder it is to lose. Someone who has a lot to lose can lose quite a bit at first--then it slows down.

Bruce, you WILL lose. Maybe two Freshly meals a day is too much. Maybe a big salad would be better than the second Freshly.

I finished A PLACE TO CALL HOME. I was pleased with Regina's outcome.

Did she wig out or not!

The season ending was joyous. Near year, if there is a next year, expect a big break out!

I agree.

The one scary thing was that while I was sedated, my blood pressure dropped to 79 / 47.  Yikes!

They passed it off as no big deal, but I heard them talking when I woke up and they were a little nervous.

Considering that when I first got high blood pressure, it was 210 / 190.  It took almost a year to find any drug that would bring it down to a normal rate.

So, to have both numbers below 100 is rather frightening.

I went to some restaurant recently that served a tarter sauce aioli.  It was horrible.

Finished with my viewing.  Spent some time trying to screen shot from the DVD but Mac has made it so you cannot do it.  Certainly I used to be able to screen shot the DVD screen, but I just get a gray screen.

Then the online photo sharing site I use will not upload the cover of our new release.  So annoying - it happened last month, too, but somehow it finally worked.  I've just had it with all this amateur crap, seriously.

I am such a queen!  On JEOPARDY tonight, one of the categories was " Broadway Musical Lyrics."  I got them all right.
