Yes, a spider or a bug of some kind. They go from the ultimate in evil with Pennywise, and then it turns into an oversize cockroach, or whatever.

My friend called me last night to tell me that his neighbor's daughter was found dead lock in a bathroom of a Burger King. She died of a heroin overdose. I had met her a few times over the years but she is the first person I know who had died from an opioid OD. Very sad. She just turned 30. One hears about other people in other cities and when it's in your own backyard you realize how widespread the problem is.

DR TCB, after reading The Shining and 'Salem's Lot in the late 1970s, thanks to our DR Ginny, I was a huge Stephen King fan. B the time I finished It, I was over him. Although I admire his imagination, opinions, and his politics, I found that his later books started out like gangbusters, dragged on, and then completely petered out, as though as editor threw up his hands and said, "so you don't want my opinion. Fine, you're the Successful Writer." I thought It had a fantastically creepy opening section and then went to hell.

Yesterday we went to Mt St Helens. The area is beautiful as well as interesting. We also enjoyed a nice hike.

I think Stephen King's best book is On Writing. It's a rare case of a writer who makes the practice of writing interesting and informative.

Just finishing up The First Order, a thriller from Jeff Abbott. The guy writes page turners that work well on audio. This is the fifth in a series. I think I've only read the first one, Adrenaline, which I also enjoyed. I guess I'll have to fill in the rest at some point.

Interesting information in the notes today.....which reminded me of what I found out yesterday. Someone asked me on BookFace about the choreographer for BYE BYE BIRDIE the movie musical, and I told them Onna White....a name she didn't know at all!

I told her Onna and her assistant Tommy Panko did BBB, The Music Man (movie & stage), and Oliver, etc. Then someone was sure Tommy was in the movie White Christmas....which I didn't think was possible.

HOWEVER, in looking up things - I discovered that Onna White's husband divorced her and married Susan Luckey.....Zaneeta from the stage and screen versions of MUSIC MAN.....
