Oh, and I'm up - another night where I didn't get to sleep until four, so I got close to eight hours of sleep.

Jane, I'm indulging in an ice cream you would hate: hazelnut latte. Delicious.

I just started watching Hitchcock's Paradine Case. The print used on the DVD is really grainy.

In the supporting cast is Charles Laughton, who plays a key role in Sailor and Fiddler, Herman Wouk's memoir written around the time he turned 100. I started listening to it this morning. It's a short book, but it's fascinating, and his storytelling skills have distilled to a focus that's just about perfect.

That's for sure. I might actually like the taste, IF I tried it. ;D

It was more of a coffee and cream flavor than the nut, but I may have to dip into the pint for some seconds later today.

Can't seem to focus on any reading today. Listening, yes. Watching a movie, yes. Not reading. Not good.

What!  There is a Herman Wouk book I have not heard of or read!!!!
Actually, there are a number of his books I haven't read, all of which my library doesn't have.  He wrote soooo many books.  I need to purchase his memoir.

Again, it's very short but it's quite good. Is he still alive?

He is still alive at age 102. Bless him.

Wow...102!  My dad has been a fan of his books for years.  I wonder if he has the memoir.

And now, I'm off to Seattle.  But first, I need to get my stuff together and run some errands before I leave town, but right now it's time to leave HHW.  I'll be back!

Have a good rest of the day, all!

Busy busy day -- no time to even stop in this morning.  Had a long rehearsal because we don't have any for two weeks.  And now I have to rush out of here to see the opening night of Fiddler On the Roof at the theater at the abbey.

I finished it . . . but there's a glitch I hope the composer can answer before too long.

And they raised the song a step today.  This actor must be vocally challenged.  So there will be no orchestration for this number, although I have written two goddamned orchestrations for it.

Hello!  I'm reporting from Creative Cauldron in Falls Church, Va.  I'm here to see Sandy Bainum's "Simply" show !  Just saw her for a minute before the show. She gave me a big hug and said "Bruce will be glad to hear you showed up!"   Hope to take a photo after the show.

WTF DR ELMORE?

Okay. I spoke to the composer and we are going with the new key from today.  I will go back to my old chart Orchestration No. 1 and copy new violin and clarinet parts tomorrow.  They have a copy of the synth book from orchestration No. 1 and they are transposing it as I type this. Hopefully, this is the end!
