DR vixmom, I loved I, Claudius and Claudius the God when I read them in the late 1960s.  Are you enjoying it?

Very much .  I didn't realize there was a second volume.  I was wondering how I could be so far through the book and have Tiberius still on the throne

Ah....well.....I lost my shadow today.  Precious went to the Rainbow Bridge at 1:45 p.m.

I will miss her very much.  I always sang "You are my sunshine" to her....and it was very true.

She'll spend one last night here at home and then go on her journey.

Oh Jack I am so very sorry .  (((Hugs ))).

The BBC miniseries was composed of both books.

Jack, I'm so sorry. IIRC, Precious wasn't a pup when you adopted her. Do you know how old she was? She had many very good years with you--and you with her.

Ah!  We have the miniseries but I never really paid attention to the fact it was two books.  I just bought a copy if Claudius the god from ebay

vixmom - I thought your posts last night were really interesting (at least until you told us they weren't :)  )

I am glad to hear it, I feel like I lead a very dull and mundane life compared to the rest of you lot.  I'm thankful you all tolerate me here

Vixmom, your life is quite interesting, I think. Perhaps that say something about mine.   :)

If I may paraphrase DR Ron, one's life should not be measured by how many loads of laundry one does.

So you have a new 14 year old fan on Long Island, Mr. Kimmel

You might want to recommend WELCOME TO MY WORLD to her, Vixmom.

I have been tossing and cleaning. All of this I'd planned to do anyway, but I'd prefer to do it at my pace, not on one imposed on me. And seeking legal advice.

Re the elevator nonsense:

Larry, did you not say that the elevator was condemned and they then put in a new one? So the new one's malfunctioning?

Vibes it gets resolved PRONTO and you have no more problems with it!

Have I mentioned that when I hear Senator Susan Collins, it sounds to me like she's channeling Gwen Verdon (her voice, not her politics)?

LOL. I've heard Senator Collins' voice, but I can't recall it distinctly. I'll have to look that up. I rather like Sen Collins, BTW. There's lots we don't agree on, but when certain politicians got their knickers in a twist, she spoke up and cut out the nonsense.

The elevator system needs replacing.  The old one is running with bandaids and the landlord is dragging its feet about beginning the installment of the new one..

Sunday evening greetings!  I went to church with Richard today even though I didn't feel like it for  several reasons.  Because I'd been awake since 5am (not by choice), I had to have a nap when we got home.

I was wondering if you were asked to make Louis' number a little less risqué  for this publisher but I didn't notice any changes

The version that just came out is designated as suitable for middle-school age and older.
https://youthplays.com/play_details.php?play_id=466

YouthPlays will be publishing a separate "Family version" within the next few weeks.  We just answered their proof notes on  that version the other day.   In particular, the "Zandozan" number and the "Spring Break" number in that version are suitable for all ages.

I don't think middle or high school kids would have any issues...their parents however...
