Well, you've read the notes, the notes dialed 'n' for notes, and now it is time for you to post until the closing cows come home.

My favorite three-act play is WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF.  It was originally produced in 1962, so it isn't quite a 50's play

The only three act play I  ever saw was Noises Off which wasn't from the 50's.

I found this info on kidney stone symptoms, and except for the blood in the urine, I think it's what floored me on Friday:
People who have kidney stones often describe the pain as excruciating. The lower back, abdomen, and sides are frequent sites of pain and cramping. Those who have kidney stones may see blood in their urine. Fever and chills are present when there is an infection. Seek prompt medical treatment in the event of these symptoms.

My beloved sister-in-law Jo told me that when Macbeth brought her his Ohio Property Tax check, he was pissing and moaning that I had been in Ohio and hadn't reached out.  I told her not to tell him I was coming back in two weeks.

Three-act plays from the 1950s?
Inherit the Wind
Look Homeward, Angel
The Matchmaker (although it's a revision of a 1930s play)

I cannot now remember which plays had two or three acts.

I, too, hate it when hotels charge you for wifi. It's like charging you for luggage on an airline. Just include it in the price.

You won't necessarily see blood in your urine. It's apparently a chronic condition with me and it's not noticeable. But you could also have a urinary tract infection if you did have a kidney stone, so I would have yourself checked out, Elmore.

TOD:

These are all 50s plays. Can remember if they had two or three acts.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
A View from the Bridge
Long Day's Journey into Night
The Chalk Garden
My 3 Angels

I'll crib off of everyone else's paper and take all of those plays.

What's sad is that I can't remember the last three-act play I saw that was presented in three acts.

The Fed Ex is ready to go.  Three days after booking, and I am still waiting for an American Airlines confirmation of my trip.  AA assures me they have sent it.

DR John G, I believe A View From the Bridge is a long one-act.  Didn't it premiere with A Memory of Two Mondays?

It's another of the Arthur Miller smug middle class plays I detest.  He wants to write a Greek tragedy, and he doesn't or can't shock his audience.  If he were the fearless Tennessee Williams, Catherine would have been Eddie's daughter and not his niece.
