Back from a side Caesar salad and a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich, listening to music, trying to prep tomorrow's announcement without a key piece of the puzzle, and then it's rehearsal in two hours.

Listening to the music of Mr. Aaron Copland - what a composer he was.  While the war horses are exactly that and not as much fun to listen to as they were once, it's stuff like the piano and clarinet concertos, the suite from The Tender Land, and other pieces that aren't as familiar that are so beautiful - and how influential was this man?  Very.

Back from a delightful afternoon date with my guys.  Atomic Blonde is very violent and I slept through a portion in the middle.  I still like Charlize Theiron, but I'd like to see her in a movie with some dialogue.  We went to a burgers & frozen custard place for late lunch/early supper and I'm home just long enough to print the agenda for tonight's AAUW board meeting.  I'm not in charge and looking forward to Carolyn's presidency.

Some years back when I first visited the Outer Banks, around Kitty Hawk, the obvious popularity of custard places in those parts was impressive.  And so delicious.

I have a clogged bathroom sink. Roto-Rooter will give you a two-hour window, but the management here insists on using cheap plumbers. I was given a two-DAY window. I just learned at 3:45 that the plumber won't be here today. He will arrive tomorrow early morning, which I'd specifically said I didn't want. Oy. I truly hate renting.

Many of the evacuees from Katrina moved to Houston. I'd hate to think that many of them will be going through this a second time, but it is likely the case.
