Jo and Randy have got me hooked on Criminal Minds, damn them all to hell. Last night we watched the hyper-ventilated, over-wrought mess called America's Got Talent. It suffers from too much overdubbing, too many bad super-production techniques, and too much fair-to-middlin' singing. Playing on the sympathy of a 13 year-old singer's father's bout with cancer, they praise her pitch, her singing, and not one person mentions "I did not understand one friggin' word you said" or where's your sense of conveying any meaning of these garbled lyrics?
