Had a fun lunch meeting - had a Cobb salad with 1000-Island dressing - and it looks like I'll be doing an act for the singer.

I picked up a couple of packages, then came home.

Then I finished the liner notes, which are much longer than my usual notes.  I ended up liking the approach from last night, so I just finessed it a bit and it took three hours to finish them.  Maybe we'll announce this sooner than later.  Not sure what to do with it in term of it being a limited edition - it doesn't really have to be, but why not?  My instinct is just to price it at our usual price despite the archival sound.

The flight was fine.  the goddamned post office did not hold my mail for the week.  Packages supposedly left are missing, and my post box was crammed with the week's mail.  Of course the dumbass carrier wasn't bothered by the fact I wasn't picking up my mail.

The PO confirmed the hold on Aug. 18, and sent me an email this morning reminding me my mail service would resume tomorrow.  The effen Planetarium Station manager will eat shit before I'm finished with this.

And now, I'm leaving work.  It was all quite uneventful.  I did get to meet (again) the new manager, but she was in orientation, so who knows when she'll actually start working.  There will be a learning curve and we're all here to help.

My walking partner decided since she couldn't see the airport across the river she shouldn't walk.  I stayed in bed and finished reading my book then went for a swim in the ash filled pool.

Well, after I posted my post office story, my doorbell range, and it was Val who gathered my packages up yesterday. He brought them up to see if I were safely home and he told me in future if I left him my postbox key, he'd take care of my mail when I was away.  He cheered me up and left.  I've now unpacked and i'm ready for bed.

I suspected he would come through for you and offer to get your mail in the future.  What a gem he is
