We went to an interesting HOA meeting regarding insurance.  They were serving pizza after the meeting.  I had planned to grab a piece to take with me as we left.  All the boxes were still closed and nothing was labeled vegetarian.  Darn.

Watching the Orson Welles' Macbeth. Very stylized, very bleak, very beautiful.

The person who wrote the blurb on the back of the Macbeth disc needs to learn English. He claims that Macbeth is about "a Scottish prince's quest for power through patricide."

I hate to break it to the writer, but Macbeth didn't kill his father. He did commit regicide, but not patricide.

OMG, anyone who was going to drive into Florida -- I'm hearing such horror stories about traffic backed up for MILES with people returning home or just traveling there.  I daresay those Vixes, and my own friends here, have dodged a major bullet.

Yes. And many gas stations are closed due to damage, so gas supplies are limited. I imagine many restaurants and hotels are also closed. Not a good time to be a tourist in Florida.

Did anyone else watch the telethon for the hurricane victims last night?  There were a lot of stars answering phones, including Ms. Streisand.  I called and called and finally got through after the show ended.  The woman who answered took my information and credit card number and then asked if I wanted to be connected to a celebrity.  I said "sure."  I was transferred to Charlie Wilson.  He was very nice but I had never heard of him.  I looked him up and he's a singer, songwriter and producer.  I guess it wouldn't have been okay for me to ask him if Barbra was nearby and could talk.

Whyever not? All he'd had to do was say, "Hey, Babs. Kev wants to talk to you." And surely she'd reply, "But of course!"

Well, I must be off.  I just found out that when I checked to see if my personal information may have been potentially impacted by the Equfax breach, I got the message, "Based on the information provided, we believe that your personal information may have been impacted by this incident." :o

:P

I read that that's what they are telling everyone. I'll look for the article and post it.

My therapist, Erik, has Lifelock and has been very happy with it. I'm looking into it. Unfortunately, their website doesn't explain much, but Erik said that anytime someone accesses your Social Security Number Lifelock contacts you to verify that it was really you, thus preventing someone from applying for a loan, etc in your name.

Has anyone here have or had Lifelock?

I'm watching a new Australian drama called NEWTON'S LAW. It's from the creators of MISS FISHER. It's good, but IMO doesn't have the magic of MISS FISHER.

Watching the Orson Welles' Macbeth. Very stylized, very bleak, very beautiful.

Is this the uncut original version with the actors using Scotish accents?
