Der Brucer and I have feasted, and we have been entertained, and we have greeted in the new year with new friends and newer ones.

We have even been kissed by Zeus and Argus, the black Labs of Cafe Zeus.

I'll leave the details for tomorrow, which will be delish. (Something to look forward to!)

Now I've got to come up with a dance?  What kind of dance has a dog leg in it?

Heck.

I've done my annual ritual and am calm and at peace.  And doing the Monkey.  Lovely photograph of dear reader Sandra's thumb.  Twenty-six minutes to New Year.

After dinner and dessert, we all went to my parents' house.  We ... watched "Anderson Cooper's 366."  I thought that it was supposed to be "Anderson Cooper's 360" but they showed a big 366 every time they went to a commercial break.  Anderson, himself, did say "360" a couple of times, so I don't know who was making the mistake.

I went to cnn.com and it is "360"  However, tonight was a special edition show.  They have a rough transcript of the show.  Here's what it had near the top of the show:

ANNOUNCER: A time of challenge and change, a year in the making. This is a special edition of ANDERSON COOPER 366, as CNN reflects on the extraordinary moments of 2004.

COOPER: Good evening again. You may not realize it, but this is the 366th day of the year. 2004 was a leap year. And it ends in a way none of us could have imagined. On this night you'll no doubt hear a lot of talk about Father Time and Baby New Year. Tradition says old Father Time robs us of opportunities. Baby New Year gives us hope. This week for millions, hope has been a hard thing to hold on to.

I am apparently a party of one, but I care not.  If everyone wants to just sit there like so much fish, that is their prerogative.  I am partying, baby, I am shaking my booty, baby, and I am welcoming in the New Year in high fashion (madras Bermuda shorts, and a Love Me Large t-shirt).

I am now breaking open a new can of Diet Coke with which to toast in the New Year.
