It’s time to get back to work. I’m not happy yet.

Annabelle was happy to sleep in her cat bed until midnight or so, when she decided it was time to crawl in with me.  I swear, I could have a king size bed and that cat would still take up 99% of it!

Wednesday morning greetings!  Up early today to head north to Michigan.  Tomorrow we're interring Mom's ashes and Fr. Richard will conduct a short committal service.  We'll spend the rest of the weekend with my sister and her family and be back home late Sunday.

So, it probably wouldn't be so bad if I could take the Advil, but the leg pains are keeping me awake and uncomfortable and U hate the fact that my restlessness is disturbing her.

BK, that is really great news about THE CRUCIBLE.  I think I have a vocal score, and I know the new mastering will sound spectacular.

I must give Anabelle a treat and then clean a litter box.  I do love this clumping litter.

Thanks, DR Elmore.  This visit was originally planned to be all about Ann Arbor, but took on a whole different meaning after August 10.  I've even cancelled our reservation for the University of Michigan bicentennial event we were going to attend all day Friday.  We'll plan another A2 getaway another time...

Very excited about ThE CRUCIBLE.  I bought an LP copy a few years ago when I was in the show at DePauw with Mr. David Cryer & his wife Britt - two charming and dedicated people....David is a alumnus of the school.

Mine is also in STEREO but it is scuffed up as MR BK describes....yes LOTS of BLACK....but it was nice to hear.  It is one of my favorite plays to be in....I have never seen it, though.

My question for ASK BK DAY:

Were you ever surprised pleasantly OR otherwise about billing you received on a film or TV project - or were those things always worked out in negotiations with your agent?

Envious of BK's LP find, but I'm glad he's the one who got it!

Looked around for vocal scores, and that seems to be yet another scarce animal with people asking ridiculous prices.

Oh yes DR CHAS SMITH some scores and LP's are very dear to the owners....the secondary market can be very competitive.

I don't often BID on things on EBAY....I usually check the prices there and then go to the AMAZON MARKETPLACE - where now and then a bargain can be found.  There are several GOODWILL STORES that now have AMAZON/EBAY pages and their books/CD's are not very expensive....  You really have to read the descriptions carefully.

Since I am not a collector that ever plans to resell, I don't mind buying an acceptable copy of a book I want to read - or a GOOD copy of a CD or LP instead of a MINT copy.

Right now I want a copy of the Elvis Presley KISSIN' COUSINS soundtrack which is on a CD with CLAMBAKE and STAY AWAY, JOE.

All copies are over $35.....I have gotten several other multiple soundtrack CD's most of them under $10, some of them under $5.....but this one is very dear....  I like this series because it has alternate takes and unreleased tracks...so I shall keep looking.

I hear ya, DR Jrand67.  Certain items hit the jackpot for whatever reason, and just stay there.

I don't resell, either.  That isn't to say there aren't some items in my collection(s) that I shouldn't relieve myself of and cash in on.  It seems like such an effort, though, and frankly I'm a little hesitant to become a "seller" with the risks that would seem to entail these days.
