The house seems in order, so Annabelle behaved herself while I was out, thank God.  On the negative side, no check.  God dammit.  Sometimes freelancing really sucks.

Or should I say:  Excellent Friday the 13th vibes to all!

On a happy note (for me, at least), I forgot that today was payday and was pleasantly surprised when I got the paystub in my work e-mail! :D

Jrand, or other JEOPARDY watches:  if you have NYTimes access, you might find this article on JEOPARDY's Austin Rogers interesting.  (Wide-ranging variety of reader comments under the article about Austin, including my obligatory parody lyric to tune of the Final Jeopardy theme)

NY Today:  Farewell to a JEOPARDY Favorite

That's funny, Fred!

When we remodled our Ashland home we added heated floors to our bathroom and the guest bathroom.  Craig's cat loved that heated floor.

I also loved the heated floor in our bathroom,  I just didn't spend hours sleeping on it.

The house that my sister just moved out of had heated floors everywhere, even on the second floor.  She misses that more than just about anything.

That is a very nice story. Have to listen to Tell Him Anything now.

Friday afternoon greetings!  I slept late and then had to hustle out of here to meet Rebecca at the Miami University campus in Hamilton (where she worked for 30 years) for a noon book discussion of Hidden Figures.  We then went to Starbucks for lunch and a long visit.

Before I started home I checked my email and learned that the Hidden Figures DVD that I'd reserved was ready for pick-up.  Now, Richard and I have a movie for a Friday pizza/movie night!

Today in 1903 Babes In Toyland opened on Broadway after a 3-month run in Chicago and stops in Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Washington, DC.

I saw the podiatrist today and picked up my new orthotics. Really comfortable! Then I lunched at a very good vegan restaurant, but I didn't think their wet burrito was as good as their veggie burger.

I tried to convince Keith we need to replace the floor in our bathroom.  I didn't succeed.  Of course if we replace the floor we would have to replace the entire bathroom ;D
