Sad to hear that the Cagney show was not good.

I'd seriously considered doing Cagney as part of my THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS series, but I didn't think the personal drama was there, so I did ROBINSON & RAFT instead.

DR DRUXY the promos did not encourage me to see BABY DRIVER....and the new DVD promos on tv are not doing it either....I don't really know what it's all about.....I will probably wait until it's on HBO or Starz....just my luck it will land on SHOWTIME which I don't subscribe to...but eventually....somewhere on my TEE VEE.

Wednesday morning greetings! Just stopping in to say HI before a friend-filled day and evening. Rebecca and I are going to Lebanon, OH, to crawl the shoppes and to spend the 3 gift certificates I won in a silent raffle last spring. When I get home I'll hop into Richard's car to go to Dayton. He'll drop me off at the Schuster Center for Dayton Opera's dress rehearsal of The Consul with my singer friend Sharon. Richard will then go to a service at the church he likes and Sharon will bring me home after the opera.

Aside from the food, my favorite thing to do when we went to Olvera Street was to watch the glass makers. I was fascinated with the fire and how they shaped the different designs. Over the years I had a nice little collection of swans and various designs I kept on a round mirror. Of course my collection went with me when I moved out of my parents home. And then I got a cat. And then the cat had kittens

Occasionally I would buy a new glass design, but we still had cats. To Keith's delight I eventually stopped buying them 😊

The art of storing, arranging, stacking things -- to be cat-bring-it-down-proof -- comes with a real learning curve.

I have to take great care here with things that could be messed up in some way, or especially broken. It requires a fair amount of attention. And unless you have a cat who loves to knock things down (I have one, but I DON'T think Annabelle is one of those), the thing to remember is that in jumping around, they don't know their back legs are going to kick things asunder. It's tough, I know.

Edit: I also know these are not words of genius. I wish I had something more helpful to say, or shortcuts to advise.

The new all-library read is a YA novel called The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett. It’s set in a fictional Ohio town that could be Liberty Township or possibly Camden. Dying steel town.

I like YA books but this one doesn't really appeal to me. Are you going to read it?
