I've never made lasagna for that many people! Otherwise, my recipe is simple: just take any recipe from either the ricotta or noodle package and double everything except the noodles.

Crazy day so far. The Asian actress I'd just found has dropped out - she didn't "realize" it was a community college production. I don't know HOW she didn't realize it when I was completely clear about it. I also told her a thing or two about me, how I have always enjoyed mixing pros with raw talent and how rewarding it's been, how every show I've done at LACC has received major reviews and raves at that and been up for awards and won them, and I don't think she has a clew as to what people have come out of that department. But it is sooooo typical.

Thursday afternoon greetings! My friend-filled day yesterday was fun. I spent all 3 of my Lebanon gift certificates - and then some...

Sharon and I met up in the Schuster Center lobby in plenty of time to get good seats for the dress rehearsal of Dayton Opera's The Consul. It was well done, but I don't need to run out for the CD to listen to over and over.

More friend time for me this evening when my book group meets at Jan's in Dayton to discuss 1984. I listened to it, narrated by Simon Prebble. I'm not sure I'd ever read the whole thing before and now I have. Sharon (who's also our book group leader) and I agreed that there were some parallels between the opera we saw last night and the book we're discussing tonight.

I need something light and fluffy to read now...

So, I have to leave in less than an hour to pick up Nita and Pam for our trek to Dayton. They were going to try to get there on their own using Mapquest and were quite relieved when I offered to drive them. After working in Dayton for 11+ years, I know how to get to where we need to be tonight.

Annabelle is quite lively this afternoon, running through the apartment and climbing the shelves. She also showed a little devious streak, playing up to me while I was assembling my meds for the next two weeks when all she really wanted was a serious peak into the drawer where I store them. Drawers have become her new fascination and she's dying to climb into one and see where it takes her. Her curiosity is getting really intense and I like that.
